Sixty eight years ago, I was born to an Engineer father and Hunter/Jumper riding instructor mother, who parted ways when I was an infant and had little time for children. In God's infinite mercy, He blessed me with a Mom - Dad in the face of Ida, an elderly African American woman who adored God with all her heart and radiated His glorious love to everyone around her always. Ida inspired me to Jesus in my youth and without her I can't imagine where I would be. With a heart for Christ, I became an acolyte in church and was confirmed after taking salvation classes.
Sadly, I became carnal and confused in college - so many religions and practices. Nietzsche on one hand and transcendental meditation on the other, with Buddhism, Hinduism, New Age, Native American beliefs and more in between.
After law school, I left the pursuit of money to find God. In 1986, while in India studying seemingly "good" teachings of a Guru, I came under demonic powers intent upon killing me . In my last breath I cried out, "Jesus help me!"
Instantly, Jesus scooped me from the death grip upon me. From my indescribable terror, Jesus gave me a peace that passes understanding. Knowing my unworthiness and prior moment falling through the gate of death, I asked Jesus, "Could I live?" He replied, "That is up to you." And Jesus knowing my desperation to live, He spoke to my heart, "If you want to live, follow Me and My Word - the Holy Bible (not in hypocrisy, but in loving sincerity). "And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart." Jer. 29:13 Since, I have shared the gospel in many countries, completed a DTh (in order to teach at Doon Bible College for indigent Christians in Dehradun, India and gain entry into penitentiaries). Today, God schools me in abiding in and sharing His unconditional love.
